The multimedia on Facebook will soon live a major revolution within a few days, probably during the F8 conference scheduled for 22nd September, 2011, the Palo Alto social network might include the long-awaited multimedia platform which will open its doors to music, but not limited to, from different online services.

There are several tracks that lead in that direction, as the presence of clear signs in the HTML web pages and groups involved in the rumors collected by the New York Times from sources considered official. The new platform will allow users to share on social networks and listens to their favorite music as well as television shows and movies of your choice: your bulletin board so that Facebook will turn into a real media center, where will be collected their favorite content.

Several names that could soon make friends with the most used social networking Web: from Hulu to Spotify, from Rhapsody to Netflix, via Rdio, MOG and Deezer, for that Ted Cohen, a consultant at one of the major record labels, defines the nirvana of interoperability. The multimedia content will be shared by users in the form of links, with the possibility for their friends to see them in a single click. None of the companies involved declined to comment on rumors in the items in question, which could become a reality within a few days.

No information is available about the ways in which the service will be distributed to users, nor on prices that will accompany the music streaming through the pages of Facebook. What is certain is that all the groups that set foot on the social network will have a unique opportunity to broaden their customer base; they can draw with both hands in a real gold mine as Facebook, whose subscribers exceeded 750 million and is growing steadily.
