Google, metaweb and semantics
Google has announced the purchase of metaweb. Despite being a short notice and could say that even timid, represents a major shift towards the SEO and to some extent the future of internet.
Metaweb is a company that is dedicated to maintaining an open database of things in the world and their relationship. With the purchase of Metaweb, google has access to Freebase, one of the largest databases of semantic web, and although its API could be used by anyone, with the acquisition by Google, could take on new dimensions Freebase and create an application to be used throughout the world, but these are just guesses.
