The form of Twitter can be, but what is already one of the major search engines and perhaps now one of the most used, and the fact is that currently remains in the background, but the immediacy of the results can get to unnerve the real-time search google.
Some series of commands, tips or tricks to search twitter:
Use OR between search terms to find or one or two terms. Example: find love OR hate tweets containing either “love” or “hate” (or both).
Use filter: links to find tweets that refer to a URL. Example: seo filter: links find tweets that contain “seo” with a link.
Use Since: immediately before a specific date to find tweets from that date. Example: superheroes Since :2010-04-21 find tweets containing “superhero” and sent from “21/04/2010″ (year-month-day).
Until used: immediately before a specific date to find tweets to date. Example: superhero Until :2010-04-21 find tweets containing “superhero” and sent to “21/04/2010″ (year-month-day).
Use an at sign (@) immediately before a user name entries and finding answers to a user. Example: @john find tweets referencing a user “john”.
Use a question mark (?) To find tweets that made questions. Example: seo? find tweets containing “seo” to ask a question.
Put quotation marks at the beginning and end of terms to find an exact phrase. Example: “seo expert” find tweets that contain the exact phrase “seo expert”.
Use near: immediately prior to a location (or zip code) and within: immediately prior to a distance measure to find tweets sent within a certain distance or location. For example: near: NYC within: 15mi find tweets sent within 15 miles of NYC.
Use: immediately before a user name to search tweets sent to that user. For example: a: john search tweets sent to you “john”.
